Swarm has two meanings.  First, it stands for Serving World A Regional Mobilizers.  The World Christian Encyclopedia defines World A as “a statistical definition originated by David Barrett based on his Evangelization Scale. World A is defined as any segment (region, country, people group, city, language, religion, etc.) in which more than 50% (half) of the population has yet to hear the Gospel or have access to the Good News. (See also “The Scandal of World A“)

Secondly, it describes the way we will work together to mobilize workers to serve World A.

Read Justin Long’s blog for more about swarming.

The seven marks of a swarm are -

  • Vision
  • Strong Bonds
  • Self-Organization
  • Transformation
  • Adaptability
  • Openness & Generosity
  • Multiplication.

This swarm that is made of  ‘regional mobilizers’ of Northern NY, people deeply concerned about the Great Commission but also that priority be given to those who have no access to the Gospel.  There is usually no indigenous church, or scriptures, or workers so that these people groups can come to faith in sustainable numbers.  Most Western churches do not know sad statistics.  Check out Did You Know? Then join the list by clicking here to keep informed of the ways the North Country churches can mobilize workers for the harvest.

This list will be moderated by Pat Noble and security will be tight.  Names might be changed in some of the stories you submit.  Send in your emails and Pat will edit for security purposes before sending it out to the group.
